Every year, we give away money to deserving students in high school or college for educational expenses. This year, we will be giving away five (5) $1,000 scholarships for the 2018-2019 school year to our student members for a total of $5,000! Our hope is that the winners will use the scholarship for tuition, books, living expenses, and other costs incurred with attaining their education.
Lowland Credit Union is committed to our home communities and the importance of educating our youth is paramount. We are very proud to support our members and their educations through the Lee Johns Memorial Scholarship, in honor of former Board of Director, Lee Johns.
Scholarship applicants must meet the following requirements:
● Be a 2018 graduating high school senior or continuing education student
● Have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or above
● Be a member in good standing at Lowland Credit Union – parents membership does not apply
● Plan to enroll or be enrolled in a full-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited two or four-year college or university
